Here's what to do if you find out that your identity has been compromised

1. Take Immediate Action

Call your bank/credit company and tell them what happened. Cancel all cards

Place a fraud alert on your credit report and freeze your credit. This will prevent more of your accounts from getting compromised. 

2. Prevent Further Damage

Though it's difficult to catch the criminals, having a police report will help you straighten things out with the banks
