How the Law of Attraction Empowers You to Fulfill Your Wildest Dreams

The law of attraction can help you obtain your heart’s desires.

Before you scoff and turn away, consider this: one of the most influential personal finance books of all time, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, explains how the law of attraction can help you manifest money if used correctly. Although Hill never directly mentions a “law of attraction,” the basic idea is the same.

Keep an open mind. You may be surprised that this “new-age mumbo jumbo” is far more than pseudoscience; it’s very real when used correctly.

What Exactly is the Law of Attraction?

The law of attraction states the universe will give you what you ask for.

However, the simple explanation betrays the law’s complexity.  When we say “ask,” we don’t mean it in a practical sense. You can’t say, “Universe, give me a million dollars,” and expect a million dollars to appear magically.

Asking means attracting what you want in the deepest level of your soul. You must constantly put your desire into the universe via conscious, positive thoughts and subconscious beliefs and actions.

Your entire being must show your deep desire for the thing you want.

Is the Law of Attraction True?

There is no scientific evidence for the law of attraction.

But there’s also no scientific evidence for many things that we believe, and that doesn’t always make them untrue, does it?

At its core, the law of attraction is about changing your mindset. If we agree that mindset shifts can improve your life, then we can agree the law of attraction is real.

How Does the Law of Attraction Work?

The law of attraction works by unlocking the power of the subconscious mind. It forces you to pour all your conscious and subconscious energy into your goal.

The law celebrates mindfulness, promoting the idea that putting your entire being into something will help you achieve it.

And it works.

If you focus entirely on a specific goal, you will probably achieve it. For example, If you put in the time and effort to lose weight, barring any medical problems, you will lose weight.

However, it’s not magic.

The law is about a mindset change, which will change your behaviors. It does not account for obstacles we encounter or the things outside of our control.

People often scoff at the law of attraction, using ridiculous examples like asking for a million dollars to prove it doesn’t work.

These folks don’t understand the law. The money won’t magically appear in your account the second the words leave your lips; to pretend it should is a blatant misinterpretation of how it works.

Instead, using the law, you will put positive thoughts about having a million dollars out into the universe. You will visualize yourself earning, making, and managing the money. Everything in your life will revolve around the goal because you want it with the totality of your entire being.

Those positive thoughts you put into the universe will transform into action as you figure out how to best achieve your goal, develop plans for earning the funds, and grow your wealth. You will start that side hustle, put in for that promotion at work, and cut your spending.

It will all happen because you changed your mindset when you focused your intentions on your goal and put those thoughts into the universe.

The law of attraction helped you believe it was possible, and thus, you started acting like it was possible.

The Law of Attraction and Limiting Beliefs

Limiting beliefs are things we tell ourselves that prevent us from achieving our goals. They’re comfortable excuses that stop us from trying.

Many of us freeze when we encounter a limiting belief. It makes us think we can’t achieve our goal, so we don’t even bother.

We all have limiting beliefs about ourselves and our abilities, but we can overcome them.

The law of attraction can help. It helps you transform your thinking from “you can’t” to “you can” and stop letting limiting beliefs hold you back.

When researching how the law of attraction works, you may have encountered articles on the three laws of attraction, the seven laws of attraction, or even the 12 laws of attraction.

There are seven laws of attraction.

The three laws help users understand how the law of attraction works, and the 12 laws are laws of the universe, not laws of attraction (though the law of attraction is one of the 12 laws of the universe).

The seven laws of attraction make up the complete law. They are:

            The Law of Manifestation

            The Law of Magnetism

            The Law of Unwavering Desire

            The Law of Delicate Balance

            The Law of Harmony

            The Law of Right Action

            The Law of Universal Influence

Here, we will explain what each means in detail.

The Law of Manifestation

The law of manifestation is the basic premise of the law of attraction. It states that your desires will manifest into reality.

However, it doesn’t say whether that’s good or bad.

In fact, even negative thoughts and desires manifest into reality. If you think you will fail at something, you most likely will fail. Therefore, we must be mindful of the thoughts we’re putting into the universe.

We can consciously use the law of manifestation to attract good things rather than bad.

The Law of Magnetism

Magnetism is about attraction. Our vibes and our energy attract similar energy. Good vibes attract positive energy, while bad vibes attract the negative.

We need to be mindful of the energy we’re putting into the universe to attract the type of energy we desire.

The Law of Unwavering Desire

The law of unwavering desire is about total, complete, unwavering commitment. It tells us that we can only have something if we want it in the very depths of our soul.

In action, the law requires dedication. If you aren’t dedicated to your goals, you won’t achieve them.

The Law of Delicate Balance

Manifesting what you want never comes from desperation. Desperation is negative and will attract more of the same.

Instead, you need balance. You need to find peace and happiness in what you already have so you don’t beg the universe in desperation.

Practice gratitude, show thankfulness for what you have, and consider anything extra a blessing.

The Law of Harmony

As a woman meditates, her thoughts show that all the things in her life are in harmony.

Everything in your life, surroundings, and nature, in general, are connected, and these things need to be in harmony.

For the law of attraction to work, you must be in harmony with yourself, your desires, and your environment.

The Law of Right Action

For the law of attraction to work, you need to be a good person.

The law is about manifesting good things out of positive thoughts, but positive actions are the best way to put positive energy into the universe.

The Law of Universal Influence

Your thoughts, actions, and intentions influence the world, even if you can’t see it.

Think about the difference between a happy person entering a room and an angry person entering a room.

How different does the room feel?

Expand this idea to the entire universe. All the energy has an influence, so try to make yours positive.

The 3 Universal Laws Related to The Law of Attraction

Three universal laws often get confused as laws of attraction, but they aren’t the same. However, the three ideas can help the law of attraction work for you.

They are:

Like Attracts Like

Nature Abhors a Vacuum

The Present is Always Perfect

Like Attracts Like

Like attracts like helps us understand the law of magnetism.

They say, “You are what you eat,” and “The people you surround yourself with are a reflection of yourself.” Both these ideas are true. You attract people and things that are similar to yourself.

And you have the power to change it.

You can stop eating fatty, unhealthy foods. You can ditch those toxic so-called friends and join communities filled with like-minded individuals.

Surround yourself with what you want to be to attract more of the same to yourself.

Nothing happens on its own. Everything in life, in nature, is interconnected.

The same is true with your life.

If you want to change in one aspect of your life, you may also need to make adjustments in other areas.

Declutter to give yourself more room to grow. Reflect on how certain areas of your life are related, and see how changing one can affect another.

The Present is Always Perfect

I get it; you’re looking around and thinking, “This is really far from perfect.” Therein lies the problem.

Look back to the laws of magnetism, delicate balance, and universal influence. What are you putting into the universe if you’re constantly deriding the present moment? How are you showing appreciation for what you have if you can’t see the beauty in the now?

The idea that the present is always perfect also reminds us to embrace mindfulness. Most of the time, we reject the present because we aren’t fully engaged in it. We’re constantly thinking of what’s missing or what’s next.

You’ll see how perfect each second is when fully engaging in the moment.

How to Use the Law of Attraction

The law of attraction is far more complex than asking the universe for a favor and instantly receiving it.

It’s about changing your entire lifestyle to manifest positive energy. And although it sounds like hokey nonsense when said that way, it’s very straightforward.

These laws are about being a good person, appreciating what you have, and surrounding yourself with positivity. These are the basic tenets behind both religious teachings and mindset coaching programs.

The ideas are popular everywhere because they work.

If you surround yourself with positive people and learn to appreciate what you have, you will be happier overall. And if you are happier overall, you will have the confidence to go after what you want.

You will believe that you deserve it because you do! And your positive mindset will help you achieve it.

Applying the Laws to Your Own Life

It’s time to apply the law of attraction to your own life. Here’s how to do it.

Let Go of the Negative

Let go of any negativity you might be carrying. Forgive, not for them, but for you. Let it go and move on with your life. However, forgiving doesn’t mean forgetting. You may need to distance yourself from toxic friends or family members. That’s okay.

You need to do what’s best for you.

Surround Yourself with Positivity

Surround yourself with positivity. Join online or in-person groups that offer support and encouragement for your goals. Set daily positive affirmations to help you feel better about yourself.

Think positive thoughts, not only about the future but about the present as well. Stop worrying about what could go wrong and think about what could go right.

Be careful not to let your positivity turn toxic. Grief, sadness, and anger all have their places in the world, and it’s okay for you and others to experience them.  However, try to remain optimistic, even when faced with hardship.

Ask the Universe for What You Want

Put your thoughts and energy into the universe, showcasing that you deserve what you desire.

Decide what you want and ask for it. Not just once, but every day, multiple times per day.

Deserve It

The power of attraction works when you truly believe it will work and deserve it to work.

And you deserve it to work when you put in the effort to make it work.

Yes, it takes action. You must do the hard work it takes to achieve your goals. But you’ve already put it into the universe that you will, so all you have to do is act to make it so.

The Law of Attraction Can Change Your Life

When you implement the law of attraction, you will notice that good things are happening more than bad things.

Embrace the good things. Show gratitude for them, and the universe will keep them coming. Your life will change for the better.

The law of attraction isn’t a guarantee.

It’s a behavioral shift that will help you achieve your goals. Similar systems have worked for millions of people throughout time, so what are you waiting for?

Change the way you think, change the way you behave, and manifest your dreams!

  1. The 7 laws get a bit much for me to take in tbh, but I mainly focus on the thoughts and feelings + the commitment with detachment.

I really didn’t start to get on board until I read about the reticular activating system and was then was like YES, okay, I can see the logic and practical mechanics here!
